3 Reasons Why I Ditched Digitals

If you’ve ever worked with a photographer, it probably went something like this: You find them through Instagram or yelp and book them through their website. Depending on their process you’ll either text each other hop on a call before you book. Then after your session you either received a flash drive or an online gallery with your images. There is NOTHING wrong with this system, but I found that it was doing a huge disservice to my clients for so many reasons.
  1. The images stayed put! Life is busy. My clients don’t have the time to create their own albums or prints. Instead of your pictures being displayed on walls or in albums they stayed in a drawer on a flash drive or on an online gallery to never be seen again.
  2. Decision fatigue is real! Where should I hang these images in my home? Where can I get them framed with quality materials? Which pictures should I even print? All of these decisions can be difficult to make on your own, especially on top of everything else going on in your life.
  3. Printing nightmares! After working with my clients, they would come back and tell me that they did try and have their stuff printed but the prints didn’t turn out right. They were too grainy, blurry, or they were cropped strangely.
So, what is the alternative? No more digitals! Instead of giving my clients 20 digital copies of their pictures and leaving them on their own I take care of everything! When you book with me, I will curate a gallery for you to view in my studio. Once you have picked out your favorites, I will handle the rest. I will design your albums and order all of your products from a professional printing lab that specializes in fine art print. When you book with me you are leaving behind the stress digitals can cause and giving me the opportunity to preserve your memories for generations to come.
